Just a dusting It was there at 5am but gone by 8am but still, it was SNOW! Not sure I'm exactly ready for winter but when you live in the north, snow is a reality. Another thing I dislike is daylight savings time. Yuck. Last night we had to turn the clocks back. Turning them back isn't so bad but turning them back ahead is awful. The day seems short and a waste.
Today for dinner I'm making slow cooked cube steaks, twice baked potatoes and cauliflower. The cube steaks are baked at 250° in a creamy sauce for 4-5 hours. I shop at a small market. They have a section of reduced meats. The meats will have a sell by date within the next four days. I hit them quite often. I can get expensive cuts of meats for anywhere from $2.28- $2.68/lb. I got six huge cube steaks for $4.08. Normally cube steaks run about $3.99/lb. When I go there, I stock up and will usually bring it home and repack for the freezer. They have strip steaks, London broil, flat iron steaks, all kinds of ribs (both pork and beef), cube steaks, T-bone among others that I can't remember.
It's all a part of being frugal. Why pay full price when these are just as good. So what if the expire date is soon? Freeze and you're good to go. I do a lot of things to save money. I also do things to make a little money. Not a lot but every little bit adds up. Most pay into your PayPal account so I use that for any online purchases I may be making. One of the things I do to make money is simple questionnaires. I mean very simple. They pay you money (a few ¢ at a time) as well as tickets and coins. The tickets and coins are for a daily drawing for $50.00 and they also have $2.00 drawings you can enter. I've been doing this for about a month now and am already up to almost $6.00. You can do the questionnaires every 3 hours. I do them if I'm around. They take 2-3 minutes. If you're interested in checking it out, you can go to:

This really adds up quickly and pays quickly. You'll be surprised!
Well, I best get back in the kitchen. I found a deal on some china that my Grandma had. It brings back a lot of memories! Someone had all these dishes in their barn, in a box. It's almost a complete 12 setting set. I got it for $50.00! I'm washing it all and displaying it in my china cabinet. It really shines when I put the lights on in the cabinet. The china looks like this:
I hope you have a wonderful day, wherever you are.
Take care,
Pam
